The route of A DIFFERENT DAKAR is much more than the official route of the Lisbon-Dakar Rally.
A DIFFERENT DAKAR is in favour of the CHILDRENS'S VILLAGES of Africa that stretch from throughoout the route of the rally. Because of that, our DAKAR is different. And once it is finished, we continue racing for the "Children's Villages" of Africa that stayed behind.
From March 2008, a travelling exposition will show the best images of the 2008 Lisbon-Dakar Rally and, most importantly, the other face of Dakar. The reality of Africa, the mission of A DIFFERENT DAKAR and the important work of CHILDRENS'S VILLAGES in the countries where the competition took place.
We can't turn our backs on them after the race is over and do nothing for a year by ignoring the real shortages in Africa.
For us the race lasts the entire year and we want to show that.
